Friday the 13th Photos

The entrance to the camp - Camp NoBeBoSco in Blairstown New Jersey. In the film, the famous Camp Crystal Lake sign stands inroughly the same spot as this sign.

Looking out at the shores of Crystal Lake (real name Sand Pond) from the main cabin.

Another shot of Sand Pond. To the left is the boathouse. Note the iconic sloping mountain in the background.

Sand Pond (aka Crystal Lake)

More of the lake, including the watch tower (which was not in the film).

Me standing in front of the infamous lake (no Jason, unfortunately)

Looking down towards the lake. Main cabin is somewhere hidden in the shadows to the right.

A beautiful shot of one of the cabins. As far as I'm aware, interior not used in the film, however, there are a few shots of the exterior seen.

A shot looking up at one of the cabins (Alice's cabin in the film as well as the cabin at the start of the film where the killer walks through, looking at the sleeping campers). Taken from the main cabin.

You see this cabin twice in the film - both when there is a wide shot of the camp and the lake (one at the beginning and one near the end as the killer switches off the power).

Ahhhh...the main cabin (real name Van Dusen Lodge). Used a lot in the film (it's where they play strip Monopoly). It was locked the day I was there, however, I did look in through the windows and it has changed a lot since the movie. The main area was filled with old bunk beds and the kitchen renovated.

Me in front of the main cabin.

Another shot looking up towards the main cabin.

A side view of the main cabin. Notice the brick fireplace - still there after all these years!

Close-up of the main cabin.

Close-up of the fireplace.

Looking at the other side of the main cabin - the pantry where Crazy Ralph surprises the gang and where Alice hides in at the climax is now gone.

Another front view of the main cabin. The telephone pole and wire are new.

Close-up of the boathouse that sits right by the lake.

Alice's cabin (and campers at the start of the film).

Side view of the boathouse.

"Mechanics Lodge" aka Alice's cabin aka Fox.

I think this is the barn at the start of the film which the two young lovers are killed upstairs. The caretakers quaters were just off to the right of the picture, so I didn't want to risk going closer and taking a better look (we weren't really supposed to be there).

A good shot of my notes...oh yeah, and of the lake and raft.

Lovely downtown Blairstown. Looking at the path which Annie walks down early on in the film.

Blairstown Diner - and the same diner Steve Christy goes into. Situated just across the highway opposite the town.

A wide shot of the diner.

Almost identical shot of Annie's walk through Crystal Lake township.

Close-up of the arches in which Annie walks through in the film. Although film pretends otherwise, in actuality the arches and path through town are just down the road from each other.

Long view of the main street in Blairstown.

A wide shot of the arches. The house to the right is the same one seen in the film.

Camp office. Not positive, but could be the same one used in the film. The totem pole is seen next to the Camp Crystal Lake sign in the film.

Front shot of the arches taken from the highway.
